New Real Estate Applications for
Apple iPhone Coming Soon
Homefindr For iPhone CodeMorphic.com
HomeFindr is a native iPhone application that shows you real estate for sale around the iPhone. It uses Core Location to determine the
latitude/longitude coordinates (geocode) of the iPhone and presents real estate listings of properties for sale within a radius of the
geocode.
HomeFindr features include:
* ability to find real estate for sale within a radius of the iPhone
* allows user to scroll through a list of thumbnail images on each property
* play a video (if available on the property)
* Google map integration
* direct agent contact via e-mail or phone
HomeFindr is a conceptual product. To bring this product to market to the general public, we are looking to partner with real estate
companies with national exposure and integration into national real estate property search data sources.
We are also interested in partnering with video production companies or real estate promotion companies to provide video listings of
properties. We believe strongly in the power of video to promote and sell real estate.
We’d greatly appreciate feedback on the demo. Any and all feedback is very important to us.
Enjoy!
Real Estate Search Tool For iPhone Trulia.com
Realtor.com has an iPhone version of their site (available at iphone.realtor.com) and now Trulia has joined the party and released an
iPhone ready version of their search tools; complete with a tongue-in-cheek video to promote it.
Unlike Realtor.com’s version however, it doesn’t look like Trulia’s site is a custom theme for iPhone’s mobile Safari. (Shameless plug:
you can read FOREM in its custom iPhone version by bookmarking this URL in your iPhone.)
And so unfortunately, there does feel like there’s still an awful lot of pinching, zooming and scrolling around needed to see the site
properly. It does however feature some pretty slick integration with the iPhone’s Google Maps application - click on the directions link
under the map display and it’ll dumps you over to the address in Maps. Nice.
Nevertheless, it’s a incremental step forward towards a truly great mobile real estate search tool and now that Apple has released its
SDK for developers (see Apple Releases SDK Kit for iPhone) I’m going to be curious to see if we’ll see any dedicated real estate
applications in the near future.
Also, it looks like Trulia has implemented my FOREM Quick Tip - How to Add an iPhone Icon to your Web Site. Excellent. Too bad
Realtor.com still has a janky icon when you save it to your Home Screen though.

CellSigns Launches iPhone Video Tours Cellsigns
Cellsigns - the SMS marketing company. has launched a new product where you can text in to a number (say, on a for sale sign)
and receive the video tour of that property on your iphone.
If you have an iPhone, you can see how it works by texting the numbers on the following video
Text VID555 to 79274 and you’ll receive a SMS message with the property information and a link that opens the video up in the
iPhone’s built in Youtube player. Pretty slick.
Unfortunately, like other Youtube videos, the experience is crippled by the iPhone’s EDGE connection and unless you’re in a WiFi
hotspot the playback is hardly bearable.
Nevertheless, a very cool innovation and one that will surely get better with the arrival of the much demanded 3G iPhone.
And one you can use right now.
